Purpose

This Professional Standards Statement sets out the principles by which Belgrave & Rothford (“B&R”, “we”, “us” or “our”) conducts its business and manages professional relationships.

B&R provides strategic advisory, brand governance and commercial services to selected brands, ventures, creators, partners and other professional clients. Our work may involve matters of reputation, access, audience quality, commercial opportunity, creator partnerships, direct marketing, digital commerce, events and premium content production.

We recognise that the value of our work depends upon sound judgement, proper conduct, accurate communication, discretion and responsible execution.

02

Professional conduct

B&R shall conduct its business with due regard to honesty, professional integrity, fairness, confidentiality and the legitimate interests of those with whom it works.

We shall seek to communicate accurately and shall not knowingly make a materially false, misleading or unsubstantiated statement concerning our services, relationships, capabilities, opportunities or anticipated outcomes.

B&R shall not represent that access, exposure, sales, introductions or commercial results are guaranteed where they depend upon factors outside our reasonable control. Any opportunity presented to a client or partner will remain subject to suitability, timing, availability, commercial terms, audience alignment, reputation and other relevant circumstances.

03

Judgement and selectivity

B&R may decline an enquiry, engagement, introduction, partnership or opportunity where it considers that the proposed arrangement is unsuitable, inadequately aligned, commercially imprudent, reputationally inappropriate or inconsistent with its professional standards.

Selectivity is applied to protect the interests of clients, partners, creators and B&R itself. It is not intended to create a misleading impression of exclusivity or to suggest that any person or organisation is entitled to access, introduction or commercial participation.

04

Accuracy and substantiation

B&R shall take reasonable care to ensure that proposals, reports, communications and published material are accurate and presented in an appropriate context.

Where a statement depends upon assumptions, estimates, third-party information or future events, that qualification shall be made clear where material.

B&R shall not knowingly present audience size, engagement, commercial performance, credentials, relationships, historic associations, awards or results in a manner that is false, materially incomplete or likely to mislead.

05

Confidentiality and discretion

B&R shall handle confidential and commercially sensitive information with appropriate care.

Information will be disclosed only where there is a lawful, contractual or otherwise legitimate basis, or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to carry out an agreed activity, protect rights, comply with law or address suspected unlawful conduct.

Information submitted through the website does not, by itself, create legal professional privilege, an adviser-client relationship or an unrestricted duty of confidentiality. Any specific confidentiality obligation shall be governed by the applicable engagement terms, confidentiality agreement or other written arrangement.

06

Lawful and responsible execution

B&R shall seek to conduct its activities in accordance with applicable law and regulation, including requirements concerning data protection, intellectual property, marketing communications, advertising, contractual dealings, employment, equality, bribery, fraud and financial crime.

B&R shall not knowingly facilitate unlawful conduct, deliberate deception, concealment of material information, improper influence, undisclosed remuneration or the misuse of personal or confidential information.

07

Respectful dealings

B&R expects professional dealings to be conducted with courtesy and respect. We do not support discrimination, harassment, intimidation, victimisation, abuse, exploitation or threatening conduct.

This expectation applies to our dealings with clients, creators, suppliers, partners, advisers, event participants and other professional contacts.

08

Accountability

Concerns regarding professional conduct may be submitted through the contact form at bradvisory.co.

B&R may investigate a concern, request further information, review relevant records and take such action as it considers appropriate. This may include correcting information, suspending an activity, declining an engagement, ending a relationship or referring a matter to an appropriate authority where required or justified.
